Why you should care about LG V40 ThinQ (My Thoughts)

Hello,
Welcome, October 2018.
When it comes to flagship smartphones, LG always goes unnoticed but from past three models of their flagships LG G6, LG V30 & LG G7 ThinQ. Looks like LG is trying really hard to get back in the map. Well, did it happen?
Kinda yeah! but there is still a long way to go to reach the Apples and Samsungs of the Smartphone flagship world.

To start off with the pros, This year LG has a lot of em.

Display
Flagship phones come with a huge price so buyers who are willing to pay that hefty amount of money expect a few checklists to be checked, one of them is display. Even Some midrange smartphones these days come with an OLED display, but LG flagships didn't come with an OLED display even with the previous flagship of LG, but finally, LG has put a P-OLED panel on top of LG V40 ThinQ with a 6.4-inch display with 77.1 screen to body ratio in 537ppi.

SD card slot
I know, I know!
The internal flash memory of a phone is faster than SD card but there are a few things I could use extra storage, to store my movie collection, music collection and camera roll.
Even I wouldn't prefer apps to be installed on SD card, but the inclusion of an SD card slot is good. It's 2018 most of the smartphones, almost all of the smartphone companies are removing SD card slots and increasing their capacity of phones but in spite of that an SD card slot would be really really good and helpful.
It's a good thing that LG still keeps the SD card slot poor people like me, a huge Thumbs up to LG for that.

Cameras
Speaking of pros, a camera is the biggest Pro of this phone, really!
This is the first phone to come out with 5 cameras! Yeah, you heard me right! 5 cameras! 3 primary rear-facing cameras and two front-facing cameras.
You might ask why 5 cameras, well here I am to answer that.
Now let's talk about those three primary cameras.
Before, if you want a smartphone with telephoto and Wide Angle lenses you had to buy two phones.
But LG V40 thinQ has em both.
A standard 12 megapixel, 27mm camera with f/1.5 aperture.
An Ultrawide 16 megapixel, 16mm camera with f/1.9 aperture.
A telephoto 12 megapixel, 52mm camera with a f/2.4 aperture with optical zoom and optical image stabilization.

now that we've covered primary cameras let's jump into secondary cameras
A standard 8 megapixel, 26mm with f/1.9 aperture.
A wide 5 megapixel, 21mm with f/2.2 aperture

Video shooting capabilities of this phone is 2160p@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/240fps, 24bit/192kHz steroids sound rec, HDR video, gyro-EIS.

Battery
Snapdragon 845 power efficient chipset so I guess 3300 would be sufficient for a single day use, but the price range of this phone is close enough to Samsung Galaxy note 9 which has 4000 mAh battery, I'm not complaining but 4000 mAh battery should be the standard in flagship smartphones.

The only complaint I have which I'm sure I am nitpicking is that in 2018 this phone still comes with 8.1 Oreo, as we all know the track record of LG at least it should have come with latest Android version Android Pie.
